Privacy

Hexplain reads public blockchain data. It does not need to know who you are, and it does not try to find out.

What we do not do

No accounts, no sign-in, no wallet connection, no advertising and no analytics. The site sets no cookies of its own. Nothing here asks for a private key or a seed phrase, and nothing ever will.

The address you check

When you check a token, its address goes to our server, which asks public sources (a Blockscout explorer and a Robinhood Chain RPC node) what the contract says. Those services see the address and the request, as they would for anyone reading the chain. The address is public chain data, not personal data.

What we keep, and for how long

  • Finished reports: kept for about 60 seconds, keyed by token address, so a busy link does not hit the explorer again and again. They hold public data only.
  • Rate limit counters: your IP address is used to count requests for about one minute, so one connection cannot overload the service. We do not build profiles from it.
  • AI recaps: kept for up to 10 minutes, keyed by a fingerprint of the findings. No address or token name is part of the key.

The optional AI recap

When switched on, a short recap is written by an AI model run by Groq. It is sent only our own fixed finding statements and numbers we computed. It is never sent token names, symbols, contract code, addresses or anything you typed. Its answer is checked before you see it, and the plain English summary stays the reference.

Who else handles requests

The site is hosted on Vercel, which may keep standard request logs (such as IP address and time) under its own policy. Cache and counters are stored with Upstash. Neither receives anything beyond what is described on this page.
